Course Conclusions and closing remarksConclusions and closing remarks from your instructor
This unit introduces the centralized crediting mechanism established under Article 6.4, often referred to as the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (PACM). It begins by outlining the participation requirements and the role of the Designated National Authority (DNA) in overseeing and authorizing activities. The unit then walks through the Article 6.4 activity cycle, from project registration to the issuance of Article 6.4 Emission Reductions (A6.4 ERs). It explains how these credits can be used toward NDCs or for other purposes. Additional lessons cover the new removals standard under Article 6.4, the Sustainable Development Tool designed to promote co-benefits, and key elements of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) transition to ensure continuity for eligible projects and stakeholders. This unit equips participants with the knowledge needed to evaluate and engage with the Article 6.4 mechanism effectively.
