ObjectivesÂ
- Understand the role of storytelling in effectively communicating the industrial sector’s Net Zero journey.Â
- Identify key elements of compelling, data-driven sustainability narratives.Â
- Practice creating a mini story outline that illustrates each sector’s contribution or initiative toward Net Zero.Â
BackgroundÂ
The industrial sector plays a central role in Indonesia’s pathway to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060 or sooner. Many industries have taken significant steps — from improving energy efficiency and adopting low-carbon technologies to developing more sustainable production processes. However, these achievements often remain under-communicated to the public, investors, and other key stakeholders.Â
Effective, data-driven communication is essential to position industrial sustainability initiatives not merely as compliance measures, but as tangible contributions to Indonesia’s green economic transformation. In this context, storytelling serves as a bridge between technical pathways and real-world impacts, enabling industries to highlight leadership and progress in the Net Zero transition.Â
This workshop is designed to support representatives from industrial sectors under the Ministry of Industry in developing the ability to transform technical data, strategies, and milestones into inspiring and credible narratives. Through a practical and interactive approach, participants will learn how to communicate their sector’s Net Zero journey in ways that build trust, strengthen reputation, and encourage broader collaboration.Â
