SUMMARY:inFUSE Indonesia: Electrification & Renewable Energy Transition
DESCRIPTION:Objectives \n\nTo provide an overview of Indonesia’s policy direction and roadmap on electrification and renewable energy development. \nTo enhance understanding of technical\, regulatory\, and implementation challenges in energy transition. \nTo facilitate knowledge exchange between government\, private sector\, and other stakeholders on best practices and lessons learned. \nTo identify potential collaboration opportunities to accelerate electrification and renewable energy adoption. \n\n  \nBackground \nIndonesia’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060 or sooner requires a fundamental transformation of its energy system. Electrification and the accelerated deployment of renewable energy are key pillars in reducing greenhouse gas emissions\, improving energy security\, and supporting sustainable economic growth.  \nThe electrification of end-use sectors such as transportation\, industry\, and buildings\, combined with the integration of renewable energy sources into the national energy mix\, presents both significant opportunities and technical challenges. These include grid readiness\, regulatory frameworks\, technology selection\, financing mechanisms\, and cross-sector coordination.  \nIn this context\, a Technical Workshop on Electrification & Renewable Energy Transition is organized to provide practical insights from policymakers and practitioners\, particularly from the Directorate General of New\, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (Direktorat Jenderal EBTKE)\, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR).  \n  \nWorkshop Theme \nElectrification & Renewable Energy Transition: Technical Perspectives and Policy Directions for Indonesia  \nAgenda \n\n\n\nTime \nTopic \nResource Persons \n\n\n09.00 – 09.30  \nRegistration  \n  \n\n\n09.30 – 09.35  \nWelcoming Remarks  \nNEYEN Consulting  \n\n\n09.35 – 09.50  \nOpening: introduction inFUSE \nModerator  \n\n\n09.50 – 10.30  \nKeynote address  \nDirectorate General of New\, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources)\n\n\n10.30 – 11.05  \nDiscussion Session (Q&A)  \nAll participants  \n\n\n11.05 – 11.20  \nClosing and Photo Session  \n  \n\n\n\n\nTarget Participants \n\nEnergy and sustainability managers from corporations \nPower and energy industry practitioners \nGovernment officials and policymakers \nFinancial institutions and investors focusing on energy transition \nAcademics\, researchers\, and consultants in energy and climate sectors \n\n
