SUMMARY:inFUSE Indonesia: Decarbonization and Cost Implications in the Food Industry
DESCRIPTION:Objectives \n\nExplain key sources of emissions across the food industry value chain. \nExamine decarbonization options and their cost implications using a real-world case study. \nHighlight operational\, financial\, and policy considerations relevant to food producers. \n\nBackground\nThe food industry is increasingly exposed to climate-related risks\, rising energy costs\, and carbon pricing pressures across agricultural production\, processing\, logistics\, and distribution. As sustainability requirements from regulators\, buyers\, and investors intensify\, food companies are under growing pressure to reduce emissions while managing cost impacts and maintaining competitiveness.  \nIn Indonesia\, large-scale food producers face particular challenges due to energy-intensive processing\, supply chain complexity\, and exposure to both domestic and international climate-related policies. Translating decarbonization commitments into practical actions requires a clear understanding of cost implications\, operational trade-offs\, and investment priorities.  \nThis workshop will examine decarbonization strategies in the food industry through a case study of Great Giant Food\, focusing on emissions reduction pathways\, cost impacts\, and implementation lessons.  \nAgenda\n\n\n\nTime \nTopic \nResource Persons \n\n\n09.00 – 09.30  \nRegistration  \n  \n\n\n09.30 – 09.35  \nWelcoming Remarks  \nNEYEN Consulting  \n\n\n09.35 – 09.50  \nOpening: introduction inFUSE \nModerator  \n\n\n09.50 – 10.30  \nKeynote address  \nSpeaker\n\n\n10.30 – 11.05  \nDiscussion Session (Q&A)  \nAll participants  \n\n\n11.05 – 11.20  \nClosing and Photo Session  \n  \n\n\n11.20 – 12.00 \nNetworking Session \n  \n\n\n\nTargeted Participants \n\nFood and agribusiness companies and processors \nCorporate sustainability and ESG teams \nOperations\, energy\, and supply chain managers \nGovernment agencies and food industry regulators \nCarbon market and sustainability advisors \nInvestors and financial institutions \n\nMore information   \ninFUSE Community Support: +62 813-1318-227

SUMMARY:inFUSE Indonesia: Net Zero Strategy in Agribusiness
DESCRIPTION:Objectives \n\nExplain key emissions sources across agribusiness value chains. \nProvide an overview of net zero frameworks\, targets\, and mitigation options relevant to agribusiness. \nHighlight data\, policy\, and implementation considerations for agribusiness companies. \n\nBackground\nAgribusiness is central to food security\, rural livelihoods\, and export-driven growth\, while also contributing significantly to greenhouse gas emissions from land use change\, soil management\, fertilizer application\, livestock\, energy use\, and downstream processing. Emissions in the sector are highly heterogeneous\, dispersed across landscapes and supply chains\, and often difficult to measure and manage.  \nIn Indonesia\, agribusiness companies are increasingly exposed to climate commitments\, carbon accounting requirements\, and market expectations related to deforestation\, land-use emissions\, and value-chain transparency. At the same time\, agriculture presents opportunities for emissions reduction and carbon sequestration through improved land management\, input efficiency\, and supply chain interventions.   \nDeveloping credible net zero strategies therefore requires robust data\, clear boundaries for carbon accounting\, and practical mitigation pathways aligned with policy and market frameworks. This workshop will examine how agribusiness companies can design net zero strategies that address both emissions reduction and carbon management across agricultural value chains\, with a focus on practical implementation and decision-making.  \nAgenda\n\n\n\nTime \nTopic \nResource Persons \n\n\n09.00 – 09.30  \nRegistration  \n  \n\n\n09.30 – 09.35  \nWelcoming Remarks  \nNEYEN Consulting  \n\n\n09.35 – 09.50  \nOpening: introduction inFUSE \nModerator  \n\n\n09.50 – 10.30  \nKeynote address  \nSpeaker\n\n\n10.30 – 11.05  \nDiscussion Session (Q&A)  \nAll participants  \n\n\n11.05 – 11.20  \nClosing and Photo Session  \n  \n\n\n11.20 – 12.00 \nNetworking Session \n  \n\n\n\nTargeted Participants \n\nAgribusiness and plantation companies \nCorporate sustainability and ESG teams \nOperations\, sourcing\, and supply chain managers \nGovernment agencies and agricultural policymakers \nCarbon market and sustainability service providers \nInvestors and financial institutions \n\nMore information   \ninFUSE Community Support: +62 813-1318-227
