ObjectivesÂ
- To provide a clear and concise overview of Indonesia’s circular economy policy direction.Â
- To help participants understand the relevance of circular economy for industrial efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability.Â
- To identify initial opportunities and practical examples of circular economy implementation in industry.Â
- To encourage participants to begin assessing their company’s readiness to respond to national circular economy policies and initiatives.Â
BackgroundÂ
Circular economy has become an increasingly important topic in industrial transformation, driven by resource constraints, waste management challenges, and growing sustainability demands from markets and regulations. This approach encourages industries to use resources more efficiently, reduce waste, and create added value through process and product innovation.Â
The Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Industry, is gradually promoting the adoption of circular economy principles as part of the green industry transformation agenda. The Green Industry Center plays a key role in shaping policy directions, initiatives, and frameworks that support circular economy implementation within the national industrial sector.Â
This workshop is designed as an introductory and interactive session, providing industry players with an overview of government policy directions while highlighting practical and step-by-step opportunities for circular economy adoption. The session aims to serve as a starting point for industries to prepare for more circular and sustainable business practices.Â
